In a cross country session, coaches typically cover various aspects related to long-distance running. This may include: Coaches guide athletes through a series of dynamic stretches and light aerobic activities to prepare their bodies for the workout. Coaches focus on proper running form, including posture, arm swing, stride length, and foot strike, to improve efficiency and prevent injuries. Cross country is all about building endurance. Coaches will work towards enhancing athletes' aerobic capacity through long-distance runs, tempo runs, interval training, and hill repeats. Coaches teach athletes how to maintain an appropriate pace during races, considering the distance and terrain. This involves understanding race strategies, learning to gauge effort, and pacing oneself throughout the event
